About Lorraine’s Pharmacy

Management

Erin Briggs, Owner

Erin Briggs, with husband ChrisMother of four. Erin and her husband Chris purchased Lorraine's Pharmacy from Chris' mother, Lorraine Briggs, in 1986 when they formed C&E Investments. Erin has played a huge role in the strategic planning for the business endeavors of Lorraine's Pharmacy. In the years since purchasing the business, Erin has used not only her business skills, but also her background as a registered nurse to help in the growth of both the front store side of the business, as well as patient care initiatives. The largest and most notable projects that Erin is very proud of include the major store expansion in 1994, as well as the move to Pharmasave in 2005.

Outside of the pharmacy, Erin is a dedicated wife and mother who enjoys spending time with her family; husband Chris, and four children — Ryan, Kaleigh, Sean, and Shannon. When not coordinating the schedules of the whole Briggs clan, Erin also enjoys baking, cooking, skiing, and reading. Despite the fact that Sean's drum playing at the Briggs' residence is not exactly conducive to reading (or anything else for that matter!) Erin handles this and all other challenges of a family of six with style. Kudos to Erin!

Peter Glofcheskie, Front Store Manager

Peter GlofcheskieFather of three. Began his pharmacy experience working for Lorraine and Ron Briggs at Lorraine's Pharmacy from 1973 to 1975. After graduating from Business Administration at Algonquin College in Ottawa, Peter returned to Lorraine's in 1978. Since becoming the front store manager, Peter has continually strived to expand and grow the non-pharmacy services offered by Lorraine's Pharmacy. For example, initiatives such as the addition of Barry's Bay Photo 1 Hour Image Centre have been a huge success for the business.

Outside of the pharmacy business, Peter is a devoted family man who enjoys spending time with his family; wife Beverly, son Sam, and two daughters, Sarah and Natalie. He also enjoys running, biking, swimming, and trying not to get killed while doing so (that is, Peter is one of the more accident prone members of Lorraine's Pharmacy staff; just ask him to list all the broken bones he has had!!!)

Donna Chapeskie, Stock Room Manager

Donna ChapeskieJoined Lorraine's Pharmacy in 1983 as head cashier until 1994 when she moved into the Photo department. Currently, Donna is the stock room manager where she makes sure the over-the-counter product section is always fully stocked with the tried and true products as well as the latest products on the market. Donna can often be found in the stock room laughing with Peter and Angie about something (we're never really sure about exactly what) or in the OTC section showing Steve that the product actually is in stock, and that he should get his eyes checked.

Outside of the pharmacy, Donna enjoys spending time with her husband, Kevin. She also enjoys cross-stitch, reading, and spoiling her pooch, "Holly." However, we all know that she'd rather be in Las Vegas fulfilling her destiny as a professional gambler, since her good luck at the casino is matched only in magnitude by Peter's bad luck on a bicycle.

Angela Vitkuske, Office Manager

Angela VitkuskeMother of four. Joined Lorraine's Pharmacy in 1998 for a 6-month maternity-relief position as bookkeeper. However, as Angie often says, "It's been a long six months!" since she's still with Lorraine's Pharmacy today! Perhaps nobody on staff has a duty list that continues to grow as much as Angela's, but she handles it in style and with a smile. From bookkeeping to "guarding the fax machine" and everything in between, if it needs to get done, Angie makes sure it gets done on time. Moreover, if you don't do what she asks you to do, she'll look at you over her glasses frames and then you know you're in real trouble!

Outside of the pharmacy, Angie is a dedicated wife and mother who enjoys spending time with her family; husband — John, and four children — Heather, Jennifer, Jeff and Tim. Angie's hobbies include reading, travelling, cooking, and baking. However, we all think Angie should team up with Joyce as a comedy duo of two fine-wine connoisseurs who can't figure out whether they love each other or hate each other. Go Angie!
